Merchandise Associate

The winners of Nerus Strategies’ various contests can purchase customized merchandise commemorating their win. The Merchandise Associate is responsible for creating mock-ups of ordered merchandise, contacting customers by email and phone as necessary, and placing the orders with third parties once the customer has given their approval. This an hourly position.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Verifying the customer’s winning category and the level ex (gold, silver, bronze) that they won

• Timely processing of merchandise orders through the stages of design, proofing, and ordering.

• Contacting customers by email and by phone to answer questions, customize merchandise orders, and follow up with unresponsive customers

• May be called on for occasional help with other graphic design duties as well as helping other departments with anything from vetting contest nominees to copy editing magazines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree, or two years’ experience in graphic design

• Proficient with Photoshop and InDesign.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Highly organized with attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Some retail experience will be helpful

• High school diploma

• Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 8 hours

• Visual acuity needed for viewing screens and fine print

• Manual dexterity needed for data entry

Workplace Environment:

• This is a position is a corporate office position.
