Project Manager | Operations Specialist

Corporate Position. Full Time; Will consider remote.

We are looking for a reliable Project Manager | Operations Specialist. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy. The specialist ensures smooth running of our company’s strategies and contributes to driving sustainable growth. In addition, this person will also act as assistant editor and participate in all stages of the publication process for multiple magazines. As an assistant editor they will help plan and produce various publications. For this, they need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you. The goal is to inspire and attract the target audience. This position is based in our Salem, Oregon office, and requires daily office attendance. Will consider remote reporting.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate processes relating to contests, magazine publications and websites

  • Post articles, business information and other details on websites

  • Review business information for accuracy, categorizing businesses, harvesting business information

  • Proofreading editorial content and making changes to content

  • Interfacing with media clients and/or businesses

  • Help to schedule projects and define budget constraints

  • Divide responsibilities to ensure performance

  • Manage agendas and meetings for project meetings along with follow-up emails and samples

  • Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned

  • General customer support

  • Assist colleagues whenever necessary

  • Other duties as developed and assigned

Requirements 

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects as project lead, or defining, leading, and producing written and graphic design work

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles.

  • Liaise with team members (e.g. writers, designers, digital managers and photographers) ensuring deadlines are met

  • Check articles for accuracy

  • Choose supporting material, like images and illustrations

  • Direct the use social media and SEO to draw attention to articles

  • Experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Zoom and Google Places

  • Proficiency in English

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask

Compensation

  • This is a full-time, salaried position, based in Salem, Oregon. We will consider a remote report based on Salem, Oregon scale.

  • Benefits include: Health Insurance, Vision, Dental & Life. All of the insurance with the exception of Life, is paid 50% by the company, and 50% by the employee, after 90-days of employment. 

  • We provide a stipend for technology, for your use of your cell phone and to ensure you have high-speed internet access from home.

  • PTO of 120 hours each year.
