After first getting an associate’s, bachelor’s and then master’s degree in clinical psychology in 2011, Shirley returned to school and earned another bachelor’s degree in business to help herself and her partner, Patrick, with their start-up antiques business. She fast recognized the importance of marketing and advertising and has brought that wealth of experience, knowledge, and expertise to her role as a NERUS Strategies marketing associate.

She and Patrick have been together almost 10 years and have blended their families to nurture five amazing children who become Patrick’s biggest fans on race days. Just about every weekend, from April through October, the family can be found cheering him on as members of the family’s dirt-track racing team – Old Goat Motorsports. Shirleyuses her business background to help promote the team and they join other small businesses as sponsors for Patrick’s cars. It is a passion for the couple as much as it is a robust way to enjoy family time together, eating, and visiting new places.
